How we count.
Trend
Monthly matching permits
Monthly counts reflect the records available from the jurisdictions we cover. Filing dates and changes in coverage can affect the pattern, so one month alone does not establish a change in construction activity.
Counts are not additive: a permit can match more than one term. Adding category counts can count the same permit more than once.
County coverage
Selected counties in the dataset
These counties are shown in the dataset’s general county order, which is shared across term pages. The order does not indicate how much new construction work takes place in each county. Counties are listed separately from cities.

- 3Hillsborough County
- 5Polk County
- 6Broward County
- 7Pinellas County
- 8Martin County
- 9Brevard County
